Summer is around the corner and life is in full swing!
Gaia is almost five months old which is nuts. She started daycare last week and is loving it based on the pictures we get every day.
George is warming up to her too 🤣
Parenthood is a never-ending journey but I think it’s important to celebrate milestones; I’m really proud of the way we’ve navigated the first five months. Gaia is healthy and happy. She’s sleeping through the night (SO LUCKY).
Witnessing the daily progress with Gaia is addictive. I start every day with at least an hour of 1:1 time with her and it’s strange to say but I can genuinely see her growing and evolving every morning.
No better way to start the day than cuddles and smiles.
Last week I also had to say goodbye to 2 of my favorite shows (Succession and Ted Lasso) and “see you later” to a third show, Dave. I was able to watch the last John Wick installation (#4) and loved it. Those movies are too fun.
Currently reading Flow in paperback, which is way better than I expected. And listening to On Writing, a memoir on the craft by Stephen King on Audible.
On the work front, I’m super engaged at Continuum and am doing some of the best work of my career. We’re building the premier marketplace for executive talent and I get to spend my day talking to one world-class leader after another. I’m learning a ton and collaborating with great people. We’re in LA next week for our quarterly company offsite and I’m pumped to spend time with the team.
Now that I’m a few months into my new role, I’ve been trying to get back to writing publicly and find LinkedIn to be a solid forum for more casual publishing. Since most of you probably don’t follow my LinkedIn posts, I’ll share a rundown of some of what I’ve been thinking about below (that’s presumably why you’re here in the first place).
Thanks for reading and sending you all excellent summer vibes 😎
